Yesterday I accomplished something even 4 years ago I never thought possible: I ran a half-marathon! My time was 2:34 minutes, slightly slower than my goal of 2:30 minutes. I am definitely not the fastest runner but I felt good at that pace and without a wait for the bathroom at mile 8 probably would've made my goal. Best part of not overdoing it was I felt great afterwards and was able to enjoy time with my family that afternoon. Thank you to Darcy Peters and the entire FIT4MOM Front Range, CO "Run Like a Mother: Marathon and Half Marathon" training group. Thank you for all the wonderful training runs over the past 4 months. I have truly enjoyed getting to know each and every one of you and look forward to many more runs together in the future. Next I have my eyes on the Rock ‘n’ Roll Denver Marathon & ½ Marathon and improving my half marathon time. To anyone of my friends who is has every considered training for a half or full marathon but needed the support and structure of a training group, this is the group for you, check it out!
