My Favorite Holiday Snack

4 cups Cheerios

6 cups corn Chex

3 cups wheat Chex

3 cups slim pretzel sticks (I prefer rice Chex instead of pretzel sticks)

1 lb mixed salted nuts (I usually add another 8oz of mixed nuts)

1/2 c butter

1/4 c bacon drippings (fat from cooked bacon)

1 Tblsp Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp Tabasco sauce

1 1/2 tsp seasoned salt

1 tsp celery salt

1 tsp savory (sometimes called summer savory)

1 tsp garlic salt

Combine cereals, pretzels, and nuts in roasting pan. Melt butter and bacon fat in a pan on the stove top. Add Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce, stir well and pour over cereal and nut mix, stirring really well. Thoroughly combine seasoning; sprinkle over nut mix, stirring well. Put in oven at 250 degrees for 1 hour. Remove from oven and stir well every 15 minutes during the hour cooking time. (Every time it calls for stirring well, I use 2 big rubber cooking spoons to stir or toss it, so as to not break up the cereal.)
